Ipswich are currently second in the league, so this was probably not the ideal match for our first game since 12th Dec! Having said that, we were so close to another unexpected victory - or draw at least!
We had just the necessary 11 players, one of whom had not played since school! Well done Sam!
Chelsea opened the scoring about 15 mins in to what turned out to be a see - saw match. Ipswich equalised, then I gave us the lead temporarily, until the home side levelled. It was then Ipswich's turn to pull ahead, with Rachel eventually bringing us back to equal terms. Unfortunately, we couldn't hang on, and Ipswich snatched all three points with approx 10 mins remaining. Chelsea then fell over her own feet and had to be carried from the pitch - joking aside, it looked very painful and she won't be dancing the night away for some time I think!
